Safeway has been getting shittier ever since Sobeys bought them in 2013. I don’t feel like Sobeys/Empire gets enough hate compared to Loblaws. They are both evil and suck donkey balls.
Same with the Pattison Group (Save-On) out West. Jimmy fuckin Pattison owns just about everything here.
2013 eh? That timeframe jives with when I stopped shopping there. I used to choose them because they had absolutely amazing in store baked bread and the bagels were the best I have had in my life, then one day it all changed to mediocre stuff.
I stopped going after noticing workers were missing teeth. I figured it was because they didn’t provide adequate health care, here in the US. Kroger was a little better.
