Why would either the liberals or conservatives vote for it, though? Theyre the only two parties that wouldnt benefit from reform. They thrive on strategic voting.
This debate is evidence that we desperately need voting reform.

Go ahead and “strategic vote” but don’t come around complaining when Canada ends up being a two-party state like our oh-so mentally sound southern neighbours.
When has it not been a two party state? Canada is a two party plus state at best.
While not a true coalition moment, I think the NDP arm twisting JT into passing a dental care bill for supply and confidence is a good example of a minority party able to put their thumb on the scale.
