That and UCP shutdown a lot of homeless/vulnerable peoples services in a city surrounded by multiple prisons that release inmates back into general population here. It’s another reason why it’s getting so bad.
That sounds vaguely similar to the story of the 90s PC government in Ontario shutting down psychiatric institutions in Hamilton followed by patients becoming a honeless population.
I think DUIs are quite high there, but I can’t really find any clear stats about it. From what I remember it’s kind of a problem across all of the prairies.

Yeah pretty similar. It won’t get better, people blame municipal imstead of provincial.
The municipal/provincial/federal gov’t setup really is prone to easy blame-shifting and misdirection.
