They needed 296,000 and got over 456,000 signatures.
The referendum question is:
“Do you agree that Alberta should remain within Canada?”

And this referendum question means that the far right “do you agree we should separate from Canada for a better deal?” question is banned from the polls for 5 years due to Alberta’s law about polls on the same topic.
They’ll just change the law.
