But he hypothesized and later proved that the inbreeding was a direct cause of his children’s poor health. I wouldn’t say he was a fan of inbreeding, just a reluctant participant who eventually warned us of its dangers.
Missed opportunity to include his praise of inbreeding to produce “superior stock”.
