My mother is a long time vaccine skeptic, I was only vaccinated because there was no option to not be vaccinated when I was in school. My mom is decidedly not a trimp fan. There was a point in time where she had me questioning vaccines, despite me working at a scientific research facility. A childhood friend snapped me out of that stupidity.
The funny thing about my mom’s aversion is it comes down to how stupid she is regarding science. I remember her talking to one of her granola friends when I was a kid, they were saying “I do not know why we cannot have a shot or something that is like a dead or weakened version of the sickness, that would be so much better than a vaccine.”
She was one of the “do your own research” people before the www existed. We had tons of books about the dangers of every food additive, and she still prescribes to the “if I cannot pronounce it I will not eat it”.
There have always been people that don’t trust the medical community or science but I think you have to admit that the reason the country is suddenly reintroducing illnesses we had previously killed off is because of the trump cult follower. There are now so many people that get their information from these people currently in office that its begun reversing all progress made.
