Kind of the best outcome one could hope for, except Canadian Tire doesn’t really have much for luxury experience, so no idea how they’ll use those trademarks.
They will use them every chance they get until there is no meaning left.
Hudson’s Bay doesn’t exactly have much for a luxury experience either. At one point when I was a kid maybe, but they’re a loooong way from that point in their history.
they used to have a high end fur department, but no one wants to buy fur clothing now
To me the Bay kinda feels like a spread out Winners but with way more clearance signs and a perfume section you have to walk through to exit the mall.
The Bay did sell more luxury items, e.g.g their blankets and classic items, they sold higher end appliances, etc.
If you go to Canadian Tire for example they’ll sell you a coffee machine, bit they won’t have a $1000 machine on display for you.
Are they going to be able to sponsor the canadian Olympics and provide the gear?
Wasn’t Canadian Tire talking about selling part of its brands to an American company fairly recently?
