Indiana Jones and the Great Circle requires a card with ray-tracing capability. No option to turn it off.
There was a John Wick game, called John Wick Hex. It was ok, but looks like the license has expired and it’s no longer available.
I’m subscribed to Humble Choice, so I’ll be getting the full game. I’ll give it a try.
Its crustiness was a large part of its charm for me.
The original System Shock is one of my favorite games of all time. While I’m sure the remake was well done, I doubt it will invoke much nostalgia in me.
For example, tomorrow there should be more space between the Sol and Alpha Centauri systems than there was yesterday.
Galaxies are gravitationally bound, they do not expand in the same way as the universe.
If it’s billions of light years away it might be just a little longer than that.
I used Heroic Games Launcher and added it as a non-Steam game.
Works fine on my Steam Deck.

5·5 months agoPhone services used to have “peak” and “off-peak” hours. Calls made after a certain time, say 7 or 8 in the evening would cost less than calls made during the day. So yes, if it had been during the day it would probably have been more expensive.
