At this point there are only the Blue Conservatives and the Red Conservatives (aka as ‘the Liberals’)

I’m Indigenous from northern Ontario and we have family all over the province. A month ago I had a group of friends tell me that they crossed over for day shopping over at Cornwall.
I told them that was stupid because they were brown non-white native people and that there was a high chance they would get in trouble.
They didn’t care and said that all that was just stuff that happened somewhere else and wouldn’t happen to them.
Now it worries me that at some point, we’re going to hear news of some stupid thing happening soon where a group of native people will just get in trouble at a border crossing just because they were dumb enough to go there.

They do a lot for consumer products and even food.
If the actual product or food item from a foreign country is cheaper than the packaging which was produced in Canada … it can technically be said to be from Canada.
It’s always a guessing game to try to figure out where some of these things are made and produced.

lute music with trumpets starts up with fast drum beat … “YOU SPIN ME ROUND, ROUND, ROUND!!!”

They’ve essentially become two sides of the same coin. The whole political landscape has had the Overton Window shifted to the right.
What the conservatives suggested 20 years ago was unthinkable today … but since the conversation has shifted to the right, it has become normalized today.

I ain’t

Those with the money and power don’t want that tho … they don’t want a democracy (a system run by the people) they want a plutocracy (a system run by the wealthy)
I think the first step towards changing the system of voting is to first admit that we don’t exist in a democratic system.

Another example of how you can’t call our current systems democratic
When the public wants something because everyone knows and understand that it is a good idea … then it should be instituted and made possible. That’s democratic
When the idea is constantly blocked, delayed or dismissed … then it means that there are other forces in play that don’t want to represent the people or their wishes. It means that the system is not democratic.
There was a clip I saw of a mother going through their child’s text…
YOLO? What’s that!!! … Is YOLO a drug???
