High taxes is limiting capitalism.

So do mine for similar reasons ifyouknowwhatimean

Alternative? Sure. Though why?
If ethernet works, you’re just using a more expensive option to go with fiber.
Unless you need something unique about fiber, like distance (which can still be dubious for consumer grade hardware), or a non-electrical based signal (dubious requirement in most cases), then you’re just throwing money at being able to say you use fiber.

This completely and utterly ignores the capitalist pressures that also hit building materials. Just look at wood prices in the US. Prices have skyrocketed outside of the housing supply as well.
TL;DR: Capitalism is cancer on anything required to live, including the vast supply chain for such goods.
If you want Debian plus some nice tools, I’d recommend MX Linux. It’s based on Debian stable and mosrly just has a few convenient extras. Like installing nvidia drivers with one click, or being able to create a bootable ISO of your exact system. It has a few other neat tools, too.
Wouldn’t be surprised if you could just nab those tools ad hoc as desired for normal Debian, though.
