I switches to Pop!OS on my laptop that I didt use so much until now and its been solid and reliable for 99% of everything ive needed to do. Later switched my desktop to Bazzite and its been a wonderful experience. I did have a little bit of stuttering on beefier games but I mostly play middle graphics games and those were a non issue. Maybe 1-2 games I have wont run? Intel and nvidia is probably more of the reason.
I havent even looked back at windows at this point
Youll find that most places do support it if you use a user agent switcher. As far as a new browser there are some interesting ones out there but ive been just using a firefox fork
This might actually help me thank you!

BOMDAS deez nuts or something
Im terrible at math, what is this though?

You probably are having issues due to it being immutable. Its not impossible to get around but in your circumstance you might not want an immutable distro. Firstly the is Bazzite DX which is the development centric version of Bazzite. Id use that if you do development firstly and gaming secondly. Also look into the docs about installing non flatpak software, if you MUST install non flatpak software: https://docs.bazzite.gg/Installing_and_Managing_Software/

Absolutely. I switched to Bazzite and it is everything I wanted from the switch. So painless. I have yet to find a game I want to play that wont play. Ive been using it for all my normal computer tasks. Its been the best transition to linux I’ve experienced as ive tried in the past but always hit some sort of snag
I never really thought about it but bees are fuckin weird
A lot of those that were toxic on reddit are coming and being toxic here as well. I also just think that its real easy to be shitty on the internet

I like pop, use it on my laptop but people seem to dunk on it for some reason. Most credible being they just dont like the UI

Im using a 3080, nobara and bazzite have worked flawlessly for me so far though im semi active in the bazzite community and a few people have varying issues with nvidia from what ive seen. Usually the issues are a little more edge case like game streaming but with a particular set up

They usually offer functionality thats not built in such as kill switches and split tunneling iirc

No its a little more than a bad day. Im getting the idea that you are taking what people say in bad faith so im not going to say anymore. I recommend getting help.

Arent Mental disabilities and mental health issues different? When I hear someone talk about a mental disability I think of something like a learning disability, or autism. I dont believe they have the propensity to be violent anymore or less than the average. Mental health, however, I think are more states of the mind and can happen to anyone with or without mental disability. Mental health episodes cause one to think and believe in extraordinary circumstances which causes people to do extraordinary things. Im fairly certain thats what the op was talking about.

If you generate expectations from what you see in media they are always going to be unrealistic regardless of what it is. Every industry has its share of scum but you cant throw it all out because of bad people doing bad things. The fault lies within those people not the industry.

I had one too it was weird they were just asking for commission work, they provided a portfolio of fairly mediocre art and they were asking a good bit much even at “discount” for it so I declined and they left me alone. Might not have been a scam really
Getting a TEFL/TESOL certification is probably easiest way to go about it. Most countries require a bachelor’s degree to be there on a work visa outside of some circumstances. It still wont be “easy” but itll be easier than trying to sell a skillset thats redundant in a EFL country. Beware of scams and look for accreditation
In sim games you usually get the game and then get a vehicle you want to specialize in. You may put hundreds or thousands of hours into that vehicle and you know the ins and outs.
Mod development wise you may have to model the vehicle from the ground up. The vehicle has to have functioning gauges, be tuned to handle and behave like the vehicle in real life, fail like the real thing and basically BE the real thing. Take DCS for example. The game itself is actually free but the modules are paid. The detailed modules can go for around $70 or so dollars like the F16. You can use the real life flight manual for the F16 to learn how to use it in game. Train sims are similar. If you are real particular about a specific train you can find the module for it and expect probably pretty damn good detail down to nameplates and specifications
You arent going to get that sort of involvement in a game like Skyrim, Fallout, or Cyberpunk. You could maybe go down to that level of detail but that level of detail may not be able to be appreciated in a game that doesent simulate things like aerodynamics or how tire grip changes depending on temperature.
Mods are and should be a passion project. The moment you implement mods as income stream people and companies are going to exploit the shit out of it. See: Roblox, Skyrim, etc
