I’ve never been a huge nationalist or anything but damn… Lately with the threats to Canada by MAGA, I just wanna tear down anyone that wants to push our country to become part of that failed state. I have no previous frame of reference in my 40+ years.
I was commenting on this over on Reddit. It is affordable, you just need to also change your habits.
Buy less unnecessary crap. Buy more fruits and vegetables locally if possible. I’ve eliminated American products, and instead buy mostly Canadian. It’s actually saving me money.
Examples Microsoft office cost me 10$ a month. Got an open sourced non-american and it’s free. Bought a bag of Canadian onions, technically cost more but per onion was cheaper. Cut them up and froze most. Netflix, cancelled. Movies for free from my local library.
It’s about changing habits. Come on. Our grandparents generation waited in line for hours to get a ration of flower. We can do this.
100% we need to fight oligarchy reach. They’ve already taken so much of our news and journalism we need to reclaim it and never let it go.
Easy fix for me I just won’t go.
Say what you will about the citizenship story, I just love how the petition clearly got to him.
I would be so stoked to see more PR. I still feel burned Trudeau turned his back on that.
I mean. He’s appealing to me as I outright fear what PP will do to this country right now. That’s the big appeal. Im sure I don’t agree with Carney or any political leader on much. I still vote though, and do what I can to engage in the process. Every chance I’ve had I vote and campaign for electoral reform and more fair voting.
I think it’s a good move to do this while he’s rising still. We need a leader like Carney who can stand up to Trump. If all hell breaks loose PP is the last one we want in charge.
Anti-Canadian Americans, and their treasonous stooges up here in Canada can eff aboot and find oot.
Canadians can do tough. I’ll half starve myself for the rest of my natural life out of spite. These lazy hate mongers that think we’re going to cave if we don’t eat a Big Mac should google Canadian soldiers and the history of the Geneva conventions.
Sure it’s going to be tough to do without all those American products. I think more and more Canadians every day are saying “who cares”. If I can’t find a non American substitute, I’m going to simply not buy it at all.
Elbows up, my friends. It’s gonna be a long winter but if anything, we’re used to winters.
I dunno if Luigi would agree.
