Linux has that for vulkan shaders but like, you still get compiling shaders when loading in bl4 even after that.
I don’t recall satisfactory having that issue and it’s ue5 afaik, hits a solid fps too even with global illumination on.

Yeah, tbf though I play through proton a lot, but any time I change resolution (like say, when I play through moonlight on my steamdeck) I get hit with a “compiling vulkan shaders” before the game actually launches on top of any compiling shaders in game. It’s usually pretty fast but there’s a few times it’ll take a while, and it happens on windows too, my partner had a bunch of times this week where they hit extended load in times (BL4 in particular) because of it.
I want to say ME Legendary Edition had periods where it’d compile shaders, some others for sure I recall needing to as well, ME:A, DA:I and Veilguard for sure I recall having to wait a bit.
I’ll bring it up every time he’s mentioned, dude continued exporting this shit after his tenure through the idu (recall him supporting Orban for example), Farage has totally publicly cited Preston Manning and the reform party as influences/models. Don’t forget the barbaric cultural practices hotline either, killed the per vote subsidy too.
I recall there being a lot of ties between the Tories and the republicans stateside too, but can’t find an article to support.
Legitimately, I think it’s a toss up between Manning and Harper as to who’s worse, thinking about their damage abroad too. Can also add the treatment of Omar Khadr (which does fall under capitulation to the us, and just general trampling on rights), there’s a presser from around the time of the scoc ruling with Poilievre which highlights the Tories constant attacks on the judiciary too.
So much happened in those years it’s honestly hard to keep track, Harper should be kryptonite to the Tories like Bob Rae is to some people for the ondp.

Good to know that hdr works, and that other people are seeing the same edge flicker artifacts, it’s there on others (edges can get a bit shimmery with tsr) but really bad with dlss, I was wondering if it was lighting related but that point about atmospheric effects makes sense. Also tried messing about with the dlss version and settings, no dice unfortunately.
What launch options are you using if you don’t mind? I’ve had some adventures with hdr over the past year (GoW Ragnarok, CP2077 and ER run great, Horizon Zero Dawn absolutely hates it and will black screen with it on with or without gamescope) would love to have that going. I’ll definitely try the texture streaming setting too , some of the stuttering was super noticeable when I first booted it, definitely got better after some time.
My partner gifted me the copy, they’re on windows so (unsurprisingly) windows/linux coop works too. For what it’s worth, I was running it through sunshine to my steamdeck later yesterday and was a pretty solid experience.

I’ll give it a try, thanks!

What proton version are you running? I tried with the latest proton he.
I didn’t find the auto detect super helpful, kept trying to run at very high with full res, was not stellar. Was able to get decent frames with dlss + frame gen, balanced on high, dropping from 3440x1440 to 2560x1080 went into the 100s, dlss looks really bad with it though, like the edge artifacts are rough looking. Settled on tsr, find fsr really blurry, and no frame gen.
Didn’t do matchmaking, but co-op with my partner worked just fine.
I tried on the steamdeck, didn’t tweak much, didn’t expect it to be great but don’t think I expected PowerPoint level frames.
Edit, specs 4070ti 11900k 32 GB ram On arch with most recent drivers
I bought a Brother colour laser last year (which on the outside looks identical to the monochrome one I bought 17 years ago that lives with my parents), zero issues, which pretty much has been my experience with printers on linux (also tried a ~5 y/o & 25 y/o HP LaserJet, one being the cheapest thing I’ve ever used, other being old office equipment, think I tried the Epson ecotank and photo printer my mil has as well)
It’s not terrible advice tbh, even just hand sketches are solid for getting ideas down, makes it easy to translate to cad. It at least helps me think things through and the like.
Get a few pencils with different leads (some harder stuff like 2-4H and an HB) and some nice paper and you’re good, but really anything works, totally have a mockup of my garage on a whiteboard planning where I want to put stuff.
As for cad packages, freecad, as far as I’m aware there are some architecture workbench plugins, and there’s a tech drawing workbench. Coming back to cad after a while I found it super easy to pick back up (coming from solidworks at least)
Just tacking on that box fan filters are really easy to make and do a solid job in my experience. Use high quality filters (like MPR 1900+/Merv13+), duct tape them into a cube (air direction facing inward in my case) and duct tape it to the intake side of the fan, I use 4 filters with the bottom being a cardboard blank, but there’s a ton of designs out there.

I bought both the Witcher 1 & 2 for around a buck cad each, not quite the same deal but still fantastic value for the cost.
If you want to skip the awful smelling phase, use some citrus for the first few days. Pineapple juice works, recently did one with orange juice. Gets the ph low enough so lactobacillus can thrive. Gave it an extra week to build some strength before baking and yeah, works great.
I just did equal mass of juice and flour, prefer 100% rye or whole wheat to start, 50g each, add more ap flour after it’s established.

Nice, I’ve been doing through power tools, glad they’re adding it in without that

Closed up shop
It may suck ass to work at these days so I hear, but they’re far from closing up shop, they were talking about DRI for a long time and have announced building that capacity ~3 Years Ago. They’re already well underway to going DRI+EAF, the steel that comes out of that process is apparently extremely clean metallurgically.
So yes, we already do this investment…

They seem to buy a lot, bought Hashicorp (terraform) recently, redhat was like 6 years ago now.
People I know there though, they work in the consulting arm.

We don’t even need to look stateside, attacking the judiciary is nothing new for the Tories.

Comment with my exact question, is this variance beyond MoE? Would love to see their methodology on how this is calculated.
One part of me hopes the Reform and PCs split again after this, but realistically idk that’s happening. Leslyn Lewis will totally run again, if they’re doubling down on those ideas might be they select her.
From reddit, some stuff, I kinda got the same vibes you did a while back, got a shit disturber vibe, does things to intentionally piss people off, which was what I got from that open carry video in that reddit comment.

Canada’s National Observer asked the NDP for comment on the situation and later that day posed the question to NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh in a virtual press conference on April 22.
Singh did not directly respond to Canada’s National Observer’s question, nor its follow-up question about the Green Party’s complaint.
Instead he said many strategic voting websites regularly promote the Liberal Party and that “if you want to stop Conservatives, vote New Democrat. If you also want someone that’s going to … stop liberals like Mark Carney from cutting the things that you need, vote New Democrat.”
An hour later, an NDP spokesperson contacted Canada’s National Observer but did not offer a statement. Instead, they sent information “on background” — indicating it shouldn’t be attributed to the NDP — that pointed out the federal Green Party was sanctioned by Elections Canada in 2016, and said “that website isn’t ours.”
Gotta say I’m unhappy that I’m disappointed in the Federal NDP again, the whataboutism around the green party being sanctioned almost a decade ago is maybe tangentially relevant, but that feels they’re more trying to cast doubt on the green’s poll. Your candidate linked to the website, it doesn’t matter if it’s yours, its part of your party’s official communication. I don’t love that Singh (or any politician for that matter but I align closest historically with the NDP so I’ll be critical) seemingly didn’t address the questions during the press conference either.
There’s something about the current NDP priorities I don’t love, while I totally acknowledge their work on pharmacare, ban on scab labour and dental (and understand why they tore up the supply & confidence agreement over back to work), I started being disappointed back when they held back 100% of campaign rebates, I’ve personally noticed less and less riding level activity from then as well. I don’t love that they’re supporting S-210, I know a bunch of people who started listening to the NDP specifically because they were pretty adamant in their support for privacy. It’s a lot of small things but yeah, they add up.
CANDU also has a lot of different possible fuel cycles, from Wikipedia, these are some of the possible options

We also already have the ability to produce heavy water for them.
