He asks the nurse: “Where am I?”
    “Washington DC,” the nurse replies.
“And the trade war with Canada?”
    “We won that years ago.”
Elated, he asks, “And how much does a carton of eggs cost?”
    “Just one toonie eh?”

Shouldn’t that last line be :
    “Just one loonie, eh ?”

Nope, “toonie” is the nickname of the two-dollar coin and perfectly fine in context. (I suppose it’s also a double-whammy, since I don’t recall the US having a two-dollar denomination . . .)
