Thanks to poor engineering and Elon Musk, Tesla’s road rage-inducing street tank can’t even win over its core demographic: doomsday preppers

Nah, thanks. Already got an apocalypse-proof vehicle. 2004 F150. It’s only 2WD, but I haven’t managed to kill it no matter how much I abuse it. Plus, parts are plentiful and cheap. It’s the 9mm Glock of trucks. Ugly, works.

I’ve got a second-gen Prius. It just keeps going and going. I love that thing.

Fingers crossed there’s no off-roading or icy hills in the apocalypse.

I sold mine to get a bigger car when we had kids. That thing was solid though. Nothing but oil changes, brakes and tires the whole time I had it. No major issues and gas was basically free. Like $18 to fill it. I miss that thing sometimes.

My first gen 4 runner is an absolute tank. The 22re is the greatest engine ever made. That thing is apocalypse proof for sure.
